Sean Spille, Psychologist

Sean Spille, PhD

Sean Spille helps adults across Ohio navigate emotional, behavioral, and health-related challenges with compassion, insight, and evidence-based psychological care. As a Psychologist at LifeStance Health, he provides individual therapy for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and concerns related to life transitions and overall emotional wellness. Sean believes therapy should be collaborative and personalized, creating a space where patients feel respected, understood, and supported as they work toward meaningful and sustainable change.

Sean is especially passionate about health psychology, men’s mental health, and LGBTQ+ affirming care. He has particular clinical interest in sleep disorders and insomnia, weight management, readiness for bariatric surgery, and sexual health and wellness concerns, including male sexual dysfunctions and concerns related to pornography use. Sean also works with patients exploring identity, masculinity, and personal growth, helping them better understand the connections between mental, emotional, and physical well-being. His approach emphasizes culturally informed care that honors each patient’s unique experiences, values, and goals.

His therapeutic style integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions to support emotional resilience, behavioral change, and improved quality of life. Sean also incorporates CBT for Insomnia and provides gender-affirmative medical readiness evaluations and medical procedure evaluations when appropriate. In addition to his primary specialties, he offers support for eating disorders, substance use concerns, PTSD and trauma, and additional mental health needs.

Sean earned his education from Arizona State University and the University of Louisville. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in adult clinical health psychology at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland and began practicing in 2026. His clinical work focuses on helping patients align their behaviors and choices with the future they want to create while building healthier coping strategies and stronger self-understanding.

Outside of his professional work, Sean enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring ancient history and spirituality, cooking, hiking, and relaxing in an infrared sauna. He values balance, curiosity, and personal growth both inside and outside of the therapy space.
