Sarah Casey, Therapist
Sarah Casey, LMSW-C, supports individuals and families across Massachusetts through evidence-based, compassionate mental health care. She helps clients manage and heal from a wide range of challenges including trauma, substance use concerns, and mood disorders. Whether working with children, adolescents, or adults, Sarah creates a safe, affirming space that empowers growth and resilience. She offers individual, couples, and family therapy to meet clients where they are and support them in moving forward. Sarah specializes in treating PTSD and trauma, substance use issues, and anxiety. Her work is rooted in a trauma-informed approach that respects each person’s lived experiences. She is particularly passionate about helping individuals understand how past trauma can affect present-day thoughts, emotions, and relationships—and how, with support, these patterns can be changed. Using therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, she guides clients through practical, actionable steps toward emotional wellness and stability. Sarah brings dedicated experience working with clients navigating co-occurring substance use and mental health diagnoses, as well as those within the LGBTQ+ community and individuals on the autism spectrum. She is especially drawn to supporting women experiencing postpartum anxiety or depression, and strives to reduce stigma around maternal mental health. Her holistic care also extends to grief, gender identity, and sleep concerns. She offers additional support beyond her core specialties based on individual needs. Outside of her clinical work, Sarah enjoys crocheting, reading, and writing—creative outlets that deepen her sense of empathy and reflection. These personal passions enrich her therapeutic style and help foster deeper connection with her clients. Sarah proudly serves the Massachusetts community and is committed to making mental health care more accessible and affirming for all.
