Daniel Howell, Therapist
Daniel Howell, LPC, helps individuals, couples, and families across South Carolina build resilience, manage symptoms, and create meaningful change through evidence-based mental health care. At LifeStance Health, he provides therapy for children, adolescents, teens, and adults, offering support for concerns such as depression, anxiety, and trauma, while also addressing a range of additional mental health challenges. He is especially passionate about working with individuals experiencing treatment-resistant depression, helping those who have not found relief through prior approaches discover new strategies for healing and stability. Daniel integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based techniques to tailor care to each patient’s needs. His work emphasizes practical skills, emotional insight, and long-term coping strategies that promote sustainable improvement. Daniel’s clinical experience includes working with diverse populations such as first responders, military members and veterans, and LGBTQ+ individuals. He offers individual, couples, and family therapy, and supports concerns including mood disorders, stress-related conditions, and life transitions, among others. Known for his grounded and compassionate approach, Daniel creates a supportive environment where patients feel heard and empowered. Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys spending time in nature through surfing, hiking, and snowboarding, as well as reading and bird watching.
