MEET THE GUEST

Joy Weigel, MA, LPC

My name is Joy and I have been in the mental health field since 2015. My first professional experiences were with grief counseling and restorative justice intervention. These experiences showed me the power of connection and I am committed to using our relationship to help you reach your goals. I use a combination of techniques from humanistic, neuroscience-based, attachment theory, and solution focused to help you explore relationships, emotions, identity, and purpose. The first step in effective tinkering is to look at all the parts, because all parts are valuable. I specialize in complex trauma and supporting teens and adults who have had, or suspect, late-diagnosis of autism. We will collaborate to develop a customized plan. I’ll provide a comfortable space with my authenticity, a safe place to grow with curiosity, and honest humanity with humor. I’ve earned degrees from Front Range Community College, CU Boulder, and Northwestern University. I am also a certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist.
