Leyla Mallak, Nurse Practitioner
Leyla Mallak, PMHNP, helps patients in California find balance and relief through compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. She provides therapy and medication management for adolescents, adults, and seniors, working with individuals, couples, and families. Leyla integrates therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to address conditions like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. Her goal is to support patients in building resilience, improving daily functioning, and achieving meaningful progress in their mental health journey.
Leyla is especially dedicated to working with patients who face complex or challenging circumstances. She offers care for those recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital, individuals participating in court-ordered treatment, and patients navigating disability-related needs and documentation. She approaches these sensitive situations with a nonjudgmental, collaborative style, ensuring her patients feel respected and supported while receiving the treatment they need.
In addition to her specialty work, Leyla has expertise in addressing ADHD, eating disorders, sleep disorders, grief, reproductive challenges, and later-life transitions. She also provides couples therapy and family therapy, helping loved ones strengthen their relationships and foster healthier communication. Her experience includes supporting diverse populations such as individuals in adoption or foster care, members of the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and first responders. She also offers psychological testing as part of her comprehensive care approach.
Outside of her clinical work, Leyla enjoys photography, painting, staying active, and spending meaningful time with her family and friends. These creative and restorative practices reflect her holistic perspective on wellness.
