Victoria L. Hughes, Nurse Practitioner
Victoria Hughes, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Victoria Hughes is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a holistic approach to care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Mary’s-Samuel Merritt and her Master of Science in Nursing with a PMHNP specialty from Maryville University. As a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society for nursing, Victoria exemplifies academic excellence and leadership in her field.
Believing that the most powerful healing medicine is caring, Victoria views health as achieving balance across all areas of life. She collaborates thoughtfully with patients, aligning with their unique needs and philosophies to empower them toward their wellness goals.
Victoria brings a rich tapestry of experiences to her practice. With a decade as a neuro-surgical-cardiac intensive care and trauma nurse, she has honed her skills in medical management and supporting individuals and families during crises. Her passion for holistic health deepened during the 10+ years she lived in Costa Rica’s rainforest, where she founded a healing arts company and built a retreat center focused on mind-body wellness. There, she facilitated weekly therapy groups, led mindfulness practices, and hosted global retreats emphasizing themes like radical acceptance, forgiveness, and self-awareness.
Additionally, Victoria served as a rural health nurse and liaison to the expatriate community, providing essential healthcare support in remote areas. Victoria also served as the director of health and wellness for a wilderness therapy program, supporting young adults navigating life challenges. Her passion for treating children and families further enriches her practice, as she strives to support patients of all ages in achieving mental and emotional balance. Victoria’s diverse expertise combines traditional medical knowledge with holistic practices such as yoga, meditation, and energy medicine, offering patients a comprehensive path to healing.
Outside of her professional life, Victoria enjoys yoga, mindfulness, healthy cooking, travel, skiing, martial arts, nature, and spending time with her children. She is honored to partner with you on your journey to achieving mind-body health.
