Melissa Fisher, Nurse Practitioner

Melissa Fisher is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who is committed to providing compassionate and empathetic care. She has been practicing medicine since 2003. Melissa is dual-certified as a family nurse practitioner and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. After working several years in hematology/oncology, she transitioned into psychiatry and completed a post-master’s certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has been working in psychiatry for 10+ years and has experience treating adults of all ages in inpatient/skilled nursing and outpatient settings. Melissa is adept in treating anxiety, depression, insomnia, PTSD, OCD, and bipolar disorders, among others. She seeks to treat each person with respect, kindness, and empathy. Melissa works in collaboration with her clients while using an evidence-based approach to achieve the best outcomes. Throughout life’s challenges, she desires to learn what is important to each client and seeks to develop treatment goals together. Melissa strives to help each client achieve the best outcomes by providing quality care that includes a holistic approach, including medication, psychotherapy, and lifestyle modifications. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys spending time outside with her family and two black labs.
