Gisela Ayub, Nurse Practitioner
Gisela Ayub, DNP, PMHNP, offers compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to adults and seniors across California. She provides individualized medication management and supportive therapy for patients experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, and complex mental health challenges. Through careful listening and collaboration, Gisela empowers each person she serves to better understand their mental health and take an active role in their treatment.
She works with patients ages 18 and older, offering care for conditions such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and OCD. Gisela is especially experienced in helping individuals recently discharged from psychiatric hospitals, as well as those involved in court-ordered treatment or navigating mental health needs related to legal or parental custody matters. Her compassionate and nonjudgmental approach allows patients to feel heard, respected, and supported during difficult transitions.
Gisela is deeply committed to providing inclusive and culturally sensitive care for diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals and Spanish-speaking patients. She supports clients in navigating mental health concerns while also addressing unique stressors related to identity, social challenges, and life transitions. Her treatment philosophy centers on collaboration and patient education, ensuring that each person feels equipped and informed about their treatment options.
With nearly two decades of psychiatric experience, Gisela brings a calm, reassuring presence to every session. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys soccer, hockey, football, painting, and drawing—activities that reflect both her creative spirit and her love for connection and community.
