Rowan Wicks, Nurse Practitioner

Rowan Wicks helps children, teens, adults, and seniors across Colorado achieve greater emotional stability and improved daily functioning through thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric medication management. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at LifeStance Health, she partners with patients throughout CO to assess symptoms, clarify diagnoses, and develop personalized treatment plans for a wide range of mental health conditions. Her clinical focus includes ADHD, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder, with experience supporting individuals facing depression, OCD, trauma-related conditions, and sleep disturbances. Rowan provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management designed to reduce symptoms while prioritizing safety, effectiveness, and long-term wellness. She collaborates closely with therapists, families, and other providers when appropriate to ensure continuity of care for children, adolescents, teens, and adults navigating complex emotional and behavioral health challenges. Rowan is especially passionate about caring for individuals recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital, those participating in court ordered treatment, and patients involved in a current legal matter. She understands that these transitions can feel overwhelming and works diligently to provide structured, consistent follow-up care that promotes stability and reduces risk of relapse. Her approach emphasizes accountability, clear communication, and compassionate support during critical periods of recovery. In addition to medication management, Rowan integrates principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-informed care into her visits to reinforce coping skills and resilience. She has experience serving members of the LGBTQ+ community, military/veterans, and individuals with autism spectrum disorders, while also offering additional areas of expertise tailored to diverse patient needs. Rowan began her nursing career in 2020 and has worked in behavioral health settings since that time. Outside of clinical practice, she enjoys long walks, traveling, sharing good food with friends and family, and savoring a well-crafted cappuccino.
