Ashley Kinney, Nurse Practitioner

Ashley Kinney, PMHNP, helps children, teens, and adults across Delaware find relief from symptoms and regain a sense of balance through thoughtful, individualized medication management. Practicing with LifeStance Health, she partners with patients to better understand their mental health needs and develop effective treatment plans that support long-term wellness. Ashley is committed to creating a supportive, respectful environment where patients feel heard and empowered throughout their care. Ashley has a strong clinical focus on treating ADHD, anxiety, and depression, while also supporting individuals navigating concerns such as bipolar disorder, PTSD, and sleep disturbances. She works with diverse populations including individuals in foster or adoptive families, those on the autism spectrum, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, and has experience supporting first responders and military families. Her approach emphasizes collaboration, careful evaluation, and ongoing monitoring to ensure each patient’s treatment remains effective and aligned with their goals. With a passion for helping young patients thrive, Ashley has extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and teens facing behavioral and emotional challenges. She understands the importance of early intervention and works closely with families to address concerns such as attention difficulties, mood changes, and anxiety, helping young individuals build a strong foundation for emotional health and resilience. Ashley’s background in nursing spans over two decades, with the last several years dedicated fully to psychiatric care. Her experience across healthcare settings informs her holistic and compassionate approach, blending clinical expertise with a deep understanding of each patient’s lived experience. Outside of her clinical work, Ashley prioritizes family life. She also enjoys spending time with horses, traveling to new places, and being near the water.
