JoAn Brise, Nurse Practitioner
JoAn Brise, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, AGPCNP-BC
I am a dual-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of nursing experience. I provide holistic, culturally responsive and gender informed care for clients from adolescence through end of life, treating a full spectrum of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, and substance use concerns.
My background in primary care and chronic disease management, including extensive experience with endocrine disorders, provides a strong medical foundation that directly enhances my psychiatric practice.
Beginning in January, I will also offer Spravato/ ketamine-based treatment for individuals with treatment-resistant depression. My approach centers on meeting clients where they are and empowering them to build balanced, fulfilling lives. My guiding principle remains: If I’ve spent my life helping people, then my living has not been in vain.
As a wife and mother of both a college student and high school student, I understand the unique challenges families face. These lived experiences deeply inform my practice.
Outside of work, I love cycling, getting lost in a good book, exploring arts and crafts, and traveling with my family.
I welcome new clients and invite you to schedule with me- I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward mental and emotional wellness.
