Julie Davisson, Nurse Practitioner
Julie Davisson is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and has been practicing in that capacity since 2020. She started in nursing in 2007 after receiving her BSN from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. Julie returned to earn her Master of Science in nursing from Marymount University in Arlington, VA in 2013. After working several years as a family nurse practitioner, she became most interested in helping patients suffering from psychiatric illnesses. In 2020, she earned a post-graduate certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va.
Julie enjoys seeing patients of all ages and backgrounds. She utilizes a wholistic approach considering their medical history when prescribing psychiatric medications, and their overall health and safety is her number one priority. Julie meets you where you are, no matter what the circumstances. She will not dictate treatment, but instead prefers to educate and collaborate with you as a team in your journey towards healing and the best possible mental health. Julie enjoys nature, fitness, gardening, dancing, and making the most of each day with family and friends!
