Chelsea Overby, Nurse Practitioner

Chelsea Overby, PMHNP-BC, is a compassionate and affirming psychiatric nurse practitioner at LifeStance Health who empowers adults and seniors across Georgia to take control of their mental health. Through medication management, supportive evaluations, and therapeutic interventions, she provides a safe space for individuals navigating complex emotional and psychological challenges. Chelsea works closely with patients to develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans that promote stability, growth, and resilience. Chelsea is deeply committed to serving the LGBTQ+ community and strives to create a welcoming and judgment-free environment for all patients. She provides gender-affirmative medical readiness evaluations and specializes in treating gender identity-related concerns, PTSD/trauma, and anxiety. Her approach is both affirming and clinically grounded, helping patients feel seen, heard, and validated as they work toward healing and self-discovery. In addition to her focus on gender-affirming care, Chelsea has extensive experience supporting patients through substance use recovery, mood disorders, and life transitions. She treats conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, and psychosis using a combination of medication management and therapeutic techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. Chelsea also offers medical and psychological evaluations to support overall mental wellness. Outside of her clinical work, Chelsea finds joy in spending time with her partner and their three dogs. She’s an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, kayaking, shark tooth hunting, and scuba diving.
