Tara Dozier, Nurse Practitioner
Tara Dozier helps adults and seniors across Georgia manage complex mental health concerns with a compassionate, practical, and evidence-based approach to psychiatric care. As a prescriber at LifeStance Health, she provides medication management and support for individuals navigating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance use concerns, and insomnia. Tara works collaboratively with each patient to create personalized treatment plans that support emotional stability, daily functioning, and long-term wellness. Tara is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital and are transitioning back into everyday life. She understands how vulnerable and overwhelming this period can feel and focuses on helping patients build consistency, regain confidence, and reduce the risk of relapse. Her care emphasizes continuity, emotional safety, and clear treatment goals while helping patients strengthen coping skills and maintain progress outside of higher levels of care. Her clinical approach integrates medication management with therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and faith-based treatment when aligned with a patient’s preferences. Tara has experience supporting adults facing ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, alcohol and drug use issues, and mood disorders. She also works with specialized populations including military veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, adults with autism spectrum disorders, and patients managing mental health concerns alongside medical conditions or head injuries. Before becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Tara built a strong foundation in nursing care that continues to inform her thoughtful and patient-centered approach. She earned her education from Herzing University and began practicing in 2024. Outside of her clinical work, Tara enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time at the beach. She believes maintaining balance and self-care is an important part of overall mental wellness and encourages patients to find healthy routines that support their emotional health. Tara Dozier proudly serves adults and seniors throughout Georgia through LifeStance Health
