Samuel Assam, PMHNP-BC, is dedicated to providing thoughtful, personalized mental health care to clients throughout Illinois. With a compassionate and collaborative approach, Samuel partners with individuals aged 15 through 65+ to create tailored treatment plans focused on medication management that best suits their unique needs and goals. Specializing in complex mental health conditions, including anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other psychosis-related disorders, Samuel takes pride in guiding his clients toward better mental wellness. His expertise also extends to supporting individuals with ADHD, depression, sleep disorders, insomnia, and grief. Recognizing that every person’s journey is different, Samuel works closely with clients to ensure they feel heard, respected, and cared for at every step. A strong advocate for inclusivity, Samuel has extensive experience working with specialized populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, first responders, and military veterans, offering empathetic and affirming care to those facing distinct challenges. Samuel earned his graduate degree from Walden University and his undergraduate degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Outside of his work, he enjoys traveling and watching sports, which bring joy and balance to his life, enriching his perspective as a compassionate care provider.
