Leroy Lambey, Nurse Practitioner
Leroy Lambey, PMHNP-BC, helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors across Illinois gain stability, clarity, and renewed confidence through thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric medication management at LifeStance Health. As a board-certified Nurse Practitioner and prescriber, he partners with patients to evaluate symptoms thoroughly, clarify diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans that support long-term mental wellness. He specializes in treating ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder, while also supporting individuals experiencing psychosis, PTSD, and alcohol or drug use issues. Leroy is especially passionate about working with individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. He understands that transitions from inpatient to outpatient care can feel overwhelming and prioritize continuity, safety, and close follow-up during this critical time. His approach emphasizes stabilization, relapse prevention, and clear communication, so patients and families feel supported by every step of the way. Leroy provides psychiatric medication management for school-aged children (6–10), adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults. He has experience serving individuals in adoption and foster care, first responders, military members and veterans, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. He recognizes the unique stressors these populations may face and integrates trauma-informed, culturally responsive care into his practice. With a clinical style that is calm, collaborative, and grounded in current psychiatric best practices, Leroy takes time to listen carefully and ensure patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options. He believes effective mental health care is built on trust, transparency, and measurable progress. In addition to his primary specialties, he treats additional psychiatric conditions to meet the diverse needs of the Illinois communities he serves. Outside of his clinical work, Leroy enjoys staying active through walking, cycling, and running.
