Lauren Thomas, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner serving teens and adults across Kansas. She specializes in comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management for anxiety disorders, ADHD, and women’s mental health concerns. She works collaboratively with patients to develop thoughtful medication plans that align with their goals and overall health. While she does not provide therapy services, she values coordination of care and partners with therapists when appropriate to ensure comprehensive treatment.

She has a special passion for working with individuals recently discharged from psychiatric hospitalization. Dr. Thomas understands the stress and uncertainty that can accompany these transitions and provides structured support to help patients regain confidence, stability, and control over their mental health journey.

In addition to her core specialties, Dr. Thomas serves individuals with PTSD, mood disorders, and trauma-related concerns. She works with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, military members and veterans, first responders, and people with developmental disabilities, ensuring a safe, affirming, and tailored approach to care.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Thomas enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring the outdoors with her dog, relaxing with her cat, visiting parks on sunny days, and discovering new foods. She values celebrating milestones, big or small, with the people she cares about, bringing the same warmth and attentiveness to her practice.
