Mike Compton, PMHNP, is a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner serving the Kentucky community at LifeStance Health. With a strong background in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services, Mike is committed to helping clients navigate their mental health challenges. His extensive experience, which began as a registered nurse in an inpatient facility and advanced to the role of Director of Assessment and Admissions, has equipped him with the skills necessary to provide thorough patient evaluations and effective care coordination. Mike is passionate about working with a broad range of age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults. He specializes in treating conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and depression. Additionally, Mike is skilled in addressing complex issues like childhood behavior problems, obsessive-compulsive disorder, postpartum depression/anxiety, psychosis/schizophrenia, PTSD/trauma, and men’s mental health. His approach is centered on medication management, ensuring that each client receives tailored treatment to support their mental health journey. In addition to his clinical expertise, Mike has a particular interest in working with specific populations, including individuals involved in adoption or foster care, first responders, military personnel, veterans, and men.

His dedication to these groups stems from a deep understanding of the unique mental health challenges they face, and he strives to provide care that is both compassionate and effective. Outside of his professional life, Mike is passionate about coaching baseball.
