Nicole Nichols, Nurse Practitioner
Nicole Nichols, PMHNP
Nicole Nichols is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Michigan who started practicing as a Mental Health Nurse in 2013 and as a PMNHP in 2023.
Nicole believes every person is unique and has their own needs and pathway to mental health wellness. Her practice is evidence-based, holistic, and person-centered. She blends the scientific process, current evidence, national standards, compassion, empathy, and a friendly and bright communication style. She provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management services for adults and treats a broad spectrum of psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. She advocates for health equality and has worked on multiple federal and state projects to address social determinants of health and remove barriers to public mental healthcare access. Throughout her career, Nicole has held various roles that have contributed to her knowledge, understanding, and commitment to effectively assist those in need. Nicole’s most rewarding positions included serving as a community mental health complex case manager for people diagnosed with severe mental illness and multiple chronic healthcare conditions and supporting an outpatient substance abuse disorder clinic.
When not practicing, Nicole enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog. She enjoys crafting, listening to music, laughing, watching movies and stand-up comedy, traveling, softball, genealogy, astronomy, and spending time outdoors. Nicole loves warm weather and tries to make the best of Michigan winters skiing, ice fishing, and dreaming of summer.
