He utilizes evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), supportive therapy, and mindfulness to support his clients’ mental health and well-being. Carl is especially dedicated to serving diverse populations, including military veterans, first responders, and the LGBTQ+ community, recognizing the unique challenges they may face. In addition to his clinical expertise, Carl has nearly four years of specialized experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). His comprehensive care spans various clinical settings, from inpatient hospitals to outpatient care, providing him with a broad understanding of mental health challenges. He is well-versed in medication management and integrates this with therapeutic interventions to provide comprehensive care for adults and seniors. Carl’s nursing journey began in 2007, and over the years, he has gained valuable experience in Intensive Care, Medical-Surgical units, Home Healthcare, inpatient Behavioral Health Hospitals, and Long-Term Care Facilities. These diverse experiences have enriched his understanding of healthcare delivery and shaped his compassionate approach to patient care. Carl holds a Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Walden University. Outside of his professional life, Carl enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends. Born and raised in Mid-Michigan, he loves grilling, golfing, hiking, camping, and gardening. His connection to the local community enhances his commitment to providing high-quality mental health care to the residents of Michigan.
