Nicole Schmelz, Nurse Practitioner
Nicole Schmelz is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has been practicing since 2016. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hope College and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at Ohio University. Nicole brings over eight years of experience working in emergency departments across the country, providing compassionate care to vulnerable patients of all ages.
During her time in emergency settings, Nicole developed a deep passion for supporting individuals experiencing psychological distress, including anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, sleep disorders, substance use, and more. She takes a holistic, non-judgmental approach that considers the mind, body, and spirit. Nicole empowers her patients to actively participate in their care and works collaboratively to create personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys traveling, cheering on the Detroit Lions, and spending time with her cats, Beans and Harv.
