Bimpe Onamade, Nurse Practitioner

Adebimpe Onamade, PMHNP, offers compassionate and evidence-based psychiatric care to teens, adults, and seniors throughout North Carolina. Through medication management and supportive therapeutic techniques, she helps individuals navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Her approach is rooted in clinical expertise, active listening, and a commitment to creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment for every patient she serves. Adebimpe is especially passionate about working with individuals experiencing trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and psychosis or schizophrenia. She understands the complexity of these conditions and brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to care. She integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques into treatment where appropriate, empowering her patients to build resilience and better manage their symptoms over time. Her practice also includes treatment for a broad range of mental health concerns, including ADHD, postpartum anxiety or depression, and sleep disorders. In addition to individual care, Adebimpe supports patients managing co-occurring substance use issues through medication-assisted treatment. She offers services in both English and Yoruba, allowing her to connect with a diverse patient population and reduce cultural and language barriers in mental health care. Outside of her clinical work, Adebimpe enjoys gardening, going on walks, and listening to music.
