Erika Evans-Dort, Nurse Practitioner

Erika Evans-Dort, PMHNP, is dedicated to supporting adults and seniors in North Carolina through compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. She provides comprehensive medication management services tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals navigating life transitions, mental health conditions, or substance use challenges. Erika’s approach centers on creating a safe, collaborative space where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healing journey. Serving communities across North Carolina, Erika works with patients ages 18 and older, including young adults, middle-aged adults, and older adults. She provides treatment for a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, always striving to understand each person’s story and needs in a holistic way. Erika offers thoughtful support for those managing co-occurring substance use issues through medication-assisted approaches that are rooted in empathy and best clinical practices. Erika is especially passionate about working with individuals impacted by trauma, including those experiencing PTSD, postpartum depression or anxiety, and psychotic disorders. She is deeply committed to helping patients find stability, connection, and meaning following difficult life experiences. Erika understands that trauma manifests differently in every person, and she approaches each case with sensitivity, clinical insight, and a focus on long-term wellness. In addition to her core specialties, Erika has experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, first responders, veterans, and adults with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. She also offers care for individuals connected to the foster care and adoption system, recognizing the layered emotional and psychological needs that can arise in these contexts. Outside of her practice at LifeStance Health, Erika finds joy in her life spending time with family.
