Latoya Mohammed is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Latoya is a graduate of Regis College and completed her NP clinical work in the Reading, PA area. She has worked in various psychiatric facilities in and around the Philadelphia area. She has experience with inpatient, outpatient, partial programs, and Mobile Crisis.
Her 10-year nursing background includes working with various mental health disorders. Latoya enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds, and wants to serve as a resource for those going through their personal mental health journey. With each visit she provides brief supportive therapy and medication management.
I enjoy problem-solving and strategizing to improve people’s quality of life. I like to help individuals to establish coping skills, stabilize moods, and establish safe medication regimes. My approach to mental health is a collaborative one. Understanding the patient’s goals is the starting point; and the journey is then supported by me. When patients participate in their own treatment plan, they gain a better understanding about tools and treatment options.
