Aviance Pankey, Nurse Practitioner

Aviance Pankey, PMHNP, helps teens and adults regain stability, clarity, and confidence through thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric medication management. Practicing in South Carolina with LifeStance Health, she supports patients navigating mood, anxiety, trauma-related, and attention concerns with a calm, collaborative approach that prioritizes safety, progress, and long-term wellbeing. As a psychiatric prescriber, Aviance provides medication management for teens (ages 15–17) and adults, with a focus on depression and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and PTSD/trauma. She partners closely with patients to create individualized treatment plans, carefully monitoring response and side effects while integrating lifestyle factors that impact mental health. In addition to these core specialties, she offers care for related conditions such as ADHD and sleep concerns. A central passion of Aviance’s work is supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She understands how vulnerable this transition can feel and emphasizes continuity of care, stabilization, and relapse prevention during this critical period. Her goal is to help patients maintain gains made during inpatient treatment while building confidence and structure as they return to daily life. Aviance has experience working with diverse populations, including Military and Veterans, First Responders, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, and she remains attentive to the unique stressors and life transitions these groups may face. While she does not provide therapy, she values coordinated care and often collaborates with therapists and other providers to support comprehensive treatment. Outside of clinical practice, Aviance enjoys health and wellness activities, walking and fitness, journaling, and listening to motivational podcasts. She also has a passion for home décor and creating peaceful spaces that promote balance and mindfulness.
