Latasha McVey, Nurse Practitioner

Latasha McVey helps patients regain stability, clarity, and a sense of control through personalized psychiatric care and medication management for individuals across Tennessee. She works with teens, adults, and seniors, providing thoughtful, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each person’s needs and goals. Her approach is collaborative and supportive, creating a space where patients feel heard while receiving clinically sound care for conditions such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD, along with additional mental health concerns. She has a strong clinical focus on supporting individuals navigating complex transitions, including those recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. Latasha is especially passionate about helping patients maintain progress after higher levels of care, reduce the risk of relapse, and build sustainable routines for long-term wellness. She also assists patients with disability paperwork, offering guidance and documentation support with professionalism and attention to detail during what can often be a stressful process. Latasha incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques alongside medication management to help patients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She has experience working with diverse populations, including first responders, military members and veterans, and LGBTQ+ individuals, and is committed to delivering inclusive, respectful care. While she specializes in several key conditions, she also provides support for a broad range of additional mental health needs. Outside of her clinical work, Latasha enjoys spending quality time with family, exploring new places, reading, and gardening—activities that help her stay grounded and bring balance to her life.
