Regina Dance, Nurse Practitioner
I am an ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner covering the lifespan. I graduated with my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee in 2017. I graduated from King University with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015 and Lincoln Memorial University with my Associate of Applied Science in Nursing in 1993.
Treatment focus includes attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective, addiction, eating disorders, anger management, behavioral issues, emotional disturbance, grief, family conflict, and psychosis.
I believe in a holistic approach recognizing the body-mind-spirit connection of persons. I believe that the whole person is made up of interdependent parts and if one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected. I work with the client to develop a plan to help you work towards control of your symptoms in order to get the most out of life. Help you feel heard, supported and encouraged while working on improving your mental health and wellbeing.
Experience working in a variety of settings from treatment of clients in a residential (for aggressive autistic children/adolescents), PHPs for dual diagnosis adults, as well as community mental health centers. Providing mental health evaluations, medication management services, and psychoeducation for ages 6 and older.
Well versed with telehealth platform. Have worked extensively with Florida Foster Care System providing court ordered mental health evaluations for parents and children along with medical management. Experience working/collaborating with other clinicians including therapists, guidance counselors, teachers, psychologists, and other professionals.
