Sherri Sarumi, Nurse Practitioner

Sherri Sarumi helps patients regain stability, confidence, and control of their mental health through thoughtful psychiatric care and medication management for individuals across Texas. Practicing at LifeStance Health, she partners with teens, adults, and seniors to address emotional and behavioral health concerns using a patient-centered, clinically grounded approach that supports long-term wellness throughout Texas. She provides comprehensive medication management, including support for substance use–related conditions, and treats teens and adults ages 15 and older. Sherri commonly works with individuals experiencing ADHD, anxiety disorders, and depression, while also offering care for additional psychiatric conditions as clinically appropriate. Her practice incorporates evidence-based strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)–informed care and mindfulness to enhance treatment outcomes alongside medication. A central passion of Sherri’s work is supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She focuses on continuity of care during this critical transition period, helping patients stabilize medications, reduce the risk of relapse, and rebuild daily functioning. Her approach emphasizes close monitoring, compassionate listening, and collaborative treatment planning to promote safety, confidence, and sustained recovery after hospitalization. Sherri also has experience working with diverse populations, including individuals on the autism spectrum, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and military members and veterans. She offers culturally responsive care and speaks Yoruba, supporting meaningful communication and trust for patients who benefit from bilingual services. Outside of her clinical work, Sherri enjoys running, traveling, and volunteering through her church, activities that reflect her commitment to balance, service, and personal growth.
