Belinda Walsh, Nurse Practitioner

Belinda Walsh is a licensed and board-certified as a nurse practitioner in both psychiatric-mental health (PMHNP) and women’s health (WHNP). She received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Virginia in 1997. She received a bachelor’s in Nursing and a master’s degree in Women’s Health nurse practitioner in 2000 from Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2016, she received her post-master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health from Virginia Commonwealth University after realizing the strong need for mental health care for obstetric patients. She finds great fulfillment in assisting individuals improve their quality of life through medication management for a variety of mental health conditions. Medication management includes diagnosing a condition that is affecting a person’s life and prevents them from functioning in a way they desire; by monitoring medication effectiveness and side effects in a holistic approach, helping clients to improve by focusing on the entire person and taking their individual life experiences into consideration. She encourages client collaboration to develop individualized treatment plans through a strong therapeutic relationship. Belinda is an avid reader of suspense and thriller fiction; she is a true foodie. Belinda lives in Winchester, Virginia with her young daughter, her husband and her dog.
