Kerrie Petech, MSN, PMHNP

Kerrie L. Petech is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Washington who has been practicing since 2023. Although new to the PMHNP role, she brings more than 25 years of experience working in the mental health field. Her clinical training included extensive work with medication management as well as ketamine-based treatments, including IM ketamine and SPRAVATO.

Kerrie became a nurse in 2010 after previously working as a certified substance abuse counselor at Health Care for the Homeless in Baltimore City. There, she supported individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and those involved in sex work with a compassionate, non‑judgmental approach. She has also worked with people facing severe mental illness, co‑occurring substance use, homelessness, treatment‑resistant conditions, and survivors of sex trafficking.

Outside of work, Kerrie enjoys spending time with her two German Shepherds, Sophia and Rosey, and her two orange cats, Harry and Chandler. She loves reading scary novels and relaxing with her favorite shows on Netflix and Prime.

It's always really hard getting a new doc off a list on line. I've had chronic pain for 19 years, a stroke, epilepsy, aneurism, septic shock....then the anxiety and depression that can come from that. KERRIE PETECH was calm, a good listener, a partner in my healthcare and med management, I felt validated and listened to, that if I needed help she'd try to help me. She neither strict nor passive, she's just kind and smart. I'm really glad I found her.

It's been quite some time since I've had my medication balanced to my health. Kerrie was amazing - she listened, asked questions that made sense, and from them, we determined that I had been misdiagnosed all these years and on medication I didn't need to be. And now that I am using my new prescriptions I can feel myself doing better. Thank you & three cheers for Kerrie!

My Dr. Gets me she understands, I'm very comfortable telling her what is happening with my life. My Dr. Kerrie is an amazing women and passionate about helping her clients!! Kerri is very nice and has a great bedside manner. She actually listens to your concerns and approaches them eloquently while not making you feel stupid or belittled in anyway. She is quite knowledgeable while still being approachable. If you or a loved one is in any kind of need then I would highly recommend her without any doubts.
