Annette Bale, Nurse Practitioner
Annette Bale is an experienced psychiatric nurse practitioner serving children and young adults across Wisconsin. Specializing in medication management. Annette helps young patients manage a range of mental health concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, psychosis, autism and childhood behavior issues. She understands the unique challenges that children and teens face, providing personalized care that empowers families to navigate complex emotional and behavioral health situations. Whether working with a child experiencing school avoidance or helping a teenager manage symptoms of bipolar disorder, Annette’s approach is grounded in compassion and evidence-based treatment. Annette has a particular passion for supporting patients who have been recently discharged from psychiatric hospitals or those involved in court-ordered treatment. She is committed to helping these individuals stabilize and achieve progress during what can often be a critical period in their mental health journey. Her work also extends to those with current legal matters, offering a structured and empathetic approach that addresses both mental health needs and the demands of legal systems. In addition to her core specialties, Annette is dedicated to working with children and adolescents who are part of the foster care or adoption system, as well as those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities. She recognizes the unique needs of these populations and tailors her care to support each patient’s emotional, cognitive, and social well-being. Annette can see clients virtually if they are able to meet the following requirements: The client must be in Wisconsin for all virtual visits. The client must be able to have vital signs done every 4 months, and labs done as determined by the medication prescribed for the client, also any client on a controlled substance must be seen in-person yearly. Outside of her practice, Annette enjoys staying active. She loves swimming, biking, hiking, and gardening. Traveling is another passion, and she finds joy in exploring new places. As a mother of two grown children, she understands the importance of balance and brings this perspective to her work with young patients and their families.
