Heather Cunningham, Nurse Practitioner
Heather Cunningham, APNP, PMHNP, helps adults across Wisconsin stabilize symptoms, improve daily functioning, and regain a sense of control through thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric medication management. At LifeStance Health, she partners closely with patients to evaluate their needs, adjust medications safely, and support conditions such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. Her care is grounded in clinical precision and compassionate listening, ensuring each treatment plan aligns with the patient’s goals and overall well-being. Heather works with adults navigating complex mental health challenges, including mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and psychosis. She understands how mental health symptoms can affect relationships, work, and physical health, and she takes a collaborative approach to care. Heather also has experience supporting diverse populations, including individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, first responders, and military or veteran populations, while offering additional areas of support tailored to everyone’s background and experiences. Her approach emphasizes consistency, education, and building confidence in managing symptoms during this critical period. Outside of her clinical work, Heather enjoys music, taking walks, playing board games, and spending time with family and friends.
