Irini Gouzos, Post-Doctoral Fellow
Dr. Irini Gouzos completed her Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology, and Master of Education in Human Sexuality from Widener University. Dr. Gouzos has worked with diverse individuals of different races, ethnicities, religions, age, and sexual orientations in a variety of settings including inpatient hospitals, and outpatient practices. Dr. Gouzos approaches clients from a relational and insight oriented standpoint, believing that both the relationship the client has with the self, with people in their life, along with the relationship established between therapist and client, are integral aspects of treatment and progress. Dr. Gouzos completed one of her internships at the exclusive Keystone Extended Care Unit, in Chester, PA where she worked with individuals struggling with sexual compulsivity and trauma; this placement fostered her interest in working with individuals that struggle in relationships, and adult attachments. Dr. Gouzos has experience working with couples, partners and individuals presenting with a variety of concerns including complex trauma, addiction, mood/adjustment disorders and personality disorders. In addittion, Dr. Gouzos specializes in sex therapy and works with sexual health concerns, sexual disorders/dysfunctions, and relational sexuality concerns.
