Recognizing the importance of whole-person health, Dr. Miller-Bedell emphasizes the integration of traditional medication and psychotherapy approaches with balanced lifestyle choices. Dr. Miller-Bedell feels privileged to work with individuals as they navigate through difficult life situations, understanding that seeking help for psychological distress requires courage. He approaches therapy with empathy and collaboration, tailoring treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each individual. Psychotherapy, lifestyle/behavioral changes, and, if necessary, medication, are integral parts of the multifaceted path to healing.
Prior to his medical career, Dr. Miller-Bedell completed his undergraduate education at Stanford University, where he cultivated a strong foundation in understanding the mind and body connection. With his dedication to holistic mental health care and a focus on personalized treatment, Dr. Miller-Bedell is committed to helping individuals achieve improved well-being and thrive in their lives. Outside of work, Dr. Miller-Bedell enjoys surfing, skiing, and photography.
In the interest of patient safety and maintaining the highest level of professional integrity, I generally do not provide prescriptions for controlled substances during the initial assessment and evaluation session. Additionally, I do not complete formal documentation for work or school accommodations related to mental health until we have established a sufficiently long patient relationship that allows for an accurate and comprehensive assessment. This approach ensures that all recommendations and treatments are based on a thorough understanding of your individual needs and circumstances.
