Carrie Chen, MD, helps adults across California achieve better mental health through compassionate, evidence-based care. Serving individuals from young adulthood through the senior years, Dr. Chen partners with patients to address a wide range of concerns including mood disorders, trauma, and life transitions. She provides individual therapy, couples therapy, and medication management services at LifeStance Health, offering a thoughtful and supportive approach that meets patients where they are.
Dr. Chen is especially passionate about treating individuals struggling with substance use disorders, sleep disorders/insomnia, and PTSD/trauma and women’s health. She integrates advanced treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia to support recovery and healing. With a deep understanding of the complex interplay between mental health and physical wellness, she helps patients restore balance, resilience, and hope in their lives. Whether addressing longstanding challenges or new symptoms, Dr. Chen is dedicated to guiding patients toward sustainable improvement.
In addition to her specialties, Dr. Chen offers care tailored to the unique needs of LGBTQ+ individuals and military veterans.
