Gina In, Psychiatrist
*PROVIDER CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS LOCATED IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA ONLY; PROVIDER DOES NOT OFFER THERAPY SERVICES AT THIS TIME* Listening and observing are key elements of psychiatry. Everyone has their individual story, their background and their experiences. My goal is to help people manage their thoughts and feelings and recognize how they affect their daily lives. I believe in psychoeducation and how it empowers people to sharpen and use the tools at their disposal ā typically a combination of self-awareness, coping mechanisms, interpersonal skills and medication. Together we can explore solutions to promote overall health and mental fitness. I have a wide range of experience treating all ages, backgrounds, illness severity and achievement levels.
Working with a younger population or family members is always a welcome challenge, as is the nuanced approach to busy professionals in a rapidly changing world. I believe in mutual respect and teamwork, as well as being able to adapt to individual differences and expectations. I completed my undergraduate degree at Emory University, and received my medical degree from Texas Tech University. I completed general psychiatry training at Louisiana State University and Ochsner Health in New Orleans, and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical Branch. I am double board certified in adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.
