Meagan Maas, Psychiatrist
Dr. Meagan Maas, MD, helps children, adolescents, teens, and young adults across Michigan access thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care at LifeStance Health. As a medical doctor and prescriber, she provides comprehensive medication management tailored to each stage of development, supporting patients and families as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. Her approach is collaborative and compassionate, ensuring that patients feel understood while working toward meaningful, lasting improvement. Dr. Maas has clinical experience treating conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression, as well as other complex concerns affecting youth and young adults. She partners closely with patients and caregivers to create individualized treatment plans that promote stability, improve daily functioning, and support success at home, in school, and in relationships. She also has experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, those in adoption or foster care, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, while offering additional areas of support. A key focus of Dr. Maas’ work is supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She is passionate about helping patients transition safely back into their daily lives by providing close follow-up care, medication management, and continuity of treatment. Her goal is to reduce the risk of relapse, strengthen coping strategies, and help patients and families feel confident and supported during this critical period of recovery. Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Maas enjoys reading, creating linocut prints, attending concerts, and watching A24 films. She also values time outdoors, exploring parks and coffee shops with her dog, and staying active through biking.
