Erika Ebert, Psychiatrist

Part of Dr. Ebert’s clinical time is devoted to working with resident physicians from Portsmouth Regional Hospital-HCA Healthcare/Tufts University. Resident physicians are licensed doctors who have completed medical school and are finalizing their specialty training in psychiatry. They are currently completing their 3rd postgraduate year of training at LifeStance Health, Inc. Your initial appointment may either be solely with Dr. Ebert or may be with a resident physician with Dr. Ebert joining towards the end of the appointment to review history, current symptoms, and discuss the plan of care with the resident physician. You would continue to see your resident physician throughout the year and Dr. Ebert would continue to be involved in your care. Residents change each year in July, but Dr. Ebert would stay constant as the supervising psychiatrist. Dr. Ebert is a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist practicing since 2015. She graduated from Albany Medical College in 2010 then went on to complete General Psychiatry Residency in 2013 and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency in 2015, both at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Dr. Ebert believes that treatment should be tailored to a child’s individual needs, taking into account emotional, physical and developmental factors as well as addressing family and school-based stressors. She provides diagnostic evaluation and medication management, in addition to guidance and recommendations regarding other elements of treatment. Dr. Ebert sees patients throughout childhood and into young adulthood, from preschool through college age. She has expertise in treating ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, as well as developmental and behavioral disorders. Lifestance is partnering with Portsmouth Regional Hospital (now an HCA facility) and Tufts University School of Medicine to offer outpatient clinical experiences to their resident physicians in psychiatry.
