John-Marc Austin, Psychiatrist

John-Marc is particularly focused on helping patients better understand how mental health symptoms affect daily functioning, relationships, sleep, focus, and overall quality of life. He works closely with individuals navigating mood disorders, attention and concentration difficulties, and anxiety-related concerns, using a balanced approach that emphasizes education, symptom management, and long-term emotional wellness. His clinical style prioritizes open communication and individualized care plans that reflect each patient’s unique needs and strengths.

In addition to treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions, John-Marc has experience supporting individuals with eating disorders and members of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as individuals on the autism spectrum. He understands the importance of providing affirming and compassionate care that recognizes the impact of identity, neurodiversity, and life experiences on mental health. While these are areas of focus, he also supports patients facing additional emotional and behavioral health concerns.

John-Marc earned his education from UMass Chan Medical School and Elms College and began practicing in 2025. He is committed to helping patients feel empowered through accessible, respectful, and clinically informed psychiatric care.

Outside of his professional work, John-Marc enjoys caring for houseplants, gardening, landscaping, fishkeeping, gaming, and weight lifting. These interests help him maintain balance and reflect his appreciation for patience, consistency, and personal growth.
