Jennifer Albert, Psychiatrist

Part of Dr. Albert’s clinical time is devoted to working with resident physicians from Portsmouth Regional Hospital-HCA Healthcare/Tufts University. Resident physicians are licensed doctors who have completed medical school and are finalizing their specialty training in psychiatry. They are currently completing their 3rd postgraduate year of training at LifeStance Health, Inc. Your initial appointment may either be solely with Dr. Albert, or may be with a resident physician with Dr. Albert joining towards the end of the appointment to review history, current symptoms, and discuss the plan of care with the resident physician. You would continue to see your resident physician throughout the year and Dr. Albert would continue to be involved in your care. Residents change each year in July, but Dr. Albert would stay constant as the supervising psychiatrist. Dr. Jennifer Albert received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Saint Joseph University in West Hartford, Connecticut and her medical doctoral degree from St. Matthew’s University. She completed her residency in General Adult Psychiatry at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a focus in reproductive (perinatal) psychiatry. While Dr. Albert holds a subspecialty of treating adults with mood and anxiety disorders during pregnancy and postpartum, her clinical focus is to provide comprehensive care in order to enhance quality of life by treating a vast array of general psychiatric mood and anxiety disorders, such as Depression, Bipolar, OCD, Generalized Anxiety, Panic, PTSD as well as ADHD. She is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. Lifestance is partnering with Portsmouth Regional Hospital (now an HCA facility) and Tufts University School of Medicine to offer outpatient clinical experiences to their resident physicians in psychiatry.
