Dr. Vogt is a board certified child/adolescent and adult psychiatrist who has been in practice for over 20 years. She graduated medical school from Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany and completed her adult psychiatry residency training and child psychiatry fellowship at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA in 2001. Dr. Vogt specializes in medication management of many psychiatric illnesses including but not limited to depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder. She uses as little medication as necessary and believes in empowering patients to tap into their self help skills to get the best outcome for themselves. In her spare time she is an outdoor enthusiast which she believes brings balance and enhances her work with patients in the mental health field.

I have been seeing Dr. Vogt for the past several years. I have an enormous respect for her. She radiates wisdom, patience, caring and in-depth knowledge in her field of practice. This is truly a doctor that does not just push medication, she does the opposite and works to have you on the least amount of medication that is most beneficial to your success in dealing with your specific issues. She treats the whole individual. In my experience, she is a diamond in the rough to have found in a world full of doctors that see patients as numbers and not real people. I would also like to comment on the below remarks about the office staff. I have always received a call back and have had to make numerous calls due to various individual requests that go above and beyond the normal office visits. This is a very busy office with a growing patient portal and they do a great job handling the volume of calls they receive. Not only is the office attentive, they are also knowledgeable, which is something rare to find in the average office receptionist position. I would highly recommend Dr Vogt to anyone that is seeking to improve their mental health in their life. I would give them 10 Stars if I could!

After a few too many years w/ a different Psychiatrist(I reviewed on this site), Dr. Vogt is a delight. She remembers who I am; regularly recalls bits of conversations we have enough to follow up on points at my next visit. She is warm professional normal comfortable to work w/. Very happy to find Psych practicing in a collaborative manner- pure luck! She participates w/ my insurance (Keystone). *Always make next appointment when checking out. Night/day diff from previous Psy. LOVE Dr. V

I have been seeing Doctor Vogt for over 3 years. She is a great doctor, very professional, great listener, performs excellent diagnosis, and prescribed the proper medications that have helped immensely. I saw another review on here saying that she is judgemental. That’s absolutely ridiculous. She is the complete opposite of judgmental given some of the events I have told her in my life, and provides me stern and accurate advice when needed which I deeply appreciate.

I agree that you sometimes have to wait a little extra to see Dr. Vogt but I would suspect that dealing with this type of population it is to be expected and I know if I needed the extra time I always got it. I voluntarily chose to drive from Harrisburg to see Dr. Vogt because she had a new patient appointment to see me within two weeks. An initial evaluation and assessment is very important so that she can accurately help you. She is a very experienced clinician.

She listens. She understands. She works with you to solve complex issues. For example if you have several medical conditions (autoimmune, neurological, sleeping disorders, etc), she looks at the whole puzzle, advocates, and finds the best solution for the individual based on the totality of the individual. She doesn't just look at the person as a psychiatric patient. That's why we chose her, based on another client's recommendation. I am glad we did.

Dr. Vogt has very impressive bedside manners. She cares about the person in you (body and mind). She can relate to your situations by listening to you, not just by going back to the books and find you a suitable diagnosis. She probably saved my life by diagnosing me correctly and prescribing me the appropriate medication. She is very perceptive and her questions are reassure you that she is with you on the consult. Thanks Dr. Vogt for treating me.
