Throughout his career, Dr. Williams has combined clinical excellence with healthcare leadership. He has served in executive leadership roles, including Chief Medical Officer, and played a key role in developing and expanding large-scale telepsychiatry and behavioral health networks serving more than 40 hospitals and emergency departments across South Texas. His work has helped improve access to emergency psychiatric care, consultation-liaison psychiatry services, and behavioral health treatment for patients in both rural and metropolitan communities.

Dr. Williams brings extensive experience across the full continuum of psychiatric care, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and consultation-liaison psychiatry settings. He has treated a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, and other complex mental health conditions.

His approach to care is patient-centered, evidence-based, and collaborative. Dr. Williams believes that effective psychiatric treatment begins with understanding each patient’s unique experiences, goals, and values. He emphasizes shared decision-making, respects patient autonomy, and works closely with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their needs and preferences.

Dr. Williams has a particular interest in trauma-informed care and recognizes the profound impact that life experiences can have on emotional and psychological well-being. He strives to create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout their treatment journey.

Whether helping patients navigate acute psychiatric challenges or supporting long-term recovery and wellness, Dr. Williams is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care grounded in clinical expertise, scientific evidence, and genuine partnership with his patients.
