John Xiong-Chapman, Psychologist
Dr. John Xiong-Chapman is a Psychologist in California who has been practicing since 1998. He received his Ph.D. from Walden University, where his emphasis was on children and adolescence. He also has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary and postgraduate education in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and psychopharmacology. Dr. Chapman builds a relationship where the client feels accepted and allows them to be open about their issues and problems. He designs a treatment plan that meets their goal and helps them develop coping skills for life stress and problems. The main goal is to teach patients how to live in the moment and develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships. Outside of work, Dr. Chapman is a professional Magician and member of the Academy of Magical Arts: Magic Castle in Hollywood and the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM).
