She uses a strength-based approach to build autonomy in her clients, so they can be responsible for their mental wellness. She primarily works with adolescents and young adults in individual therapy. She also provides family and group therapy when appropriate. Dr. Anderson has a systems-level foundation and uses a combination of CBT, DBT, and ACT depending on her client’s needs. She incorporates her client’s creativity and interests into their growth. Outside of work, Dr. Anderson enjoys playing sports, being outside, and watching live music. She is typically reading 2-3 books at a time and engaging in some kind of art (e.g. drawing or poetry). She is always trying new recipes. A lot of her time is spent listening to music and walking her dog.
