Michelle Hansen, Psychologist

Dr. Michelle Hansen, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, is guided by compassion for the human experience in assisting her clients. She specializes in providing psychological testing services for her clients as the underlying cause for difficulties in cognitive, learning, emotional, or interpersonal difficulties is not always clear. Dr. Hansen’s goals in assessment services are helping her clients discover their strengths and utilizing their challenges as opportunities to promote personal and interpersonal growth. Dr. Hansen works to provide the first step in mental health treatment to understand the nature of experienced difficulties and to promote improved health and wellness through developing appropriate, individualized treatment options and recommendations. Dr. Hansen is a life-long greater Chicago area resident. She earned her M.A. and Psy.D. at Argosy University in Schaumburg. She has provided therapeutic and comprehensive psychological testing services in residential, forensic, and long-term care facilities. She has worked with individuals and families to provide diagnoses concerning the nature and severity of symptoms and informed recommendations about treatment options. Dr. Hansen has also worked to implement site-wide interventions within long-term care facilities. She practices respecting the humanity of all while providing individualized recommendations that reflect the unique strengths and challenges of each client and family that she serves.
