Laura Cohen, Psychologist
Laura Cohen helps individuals navigate life’s challenges by providing compassionate and evidence-based therapy to support growth, healing, and resilience. She serves patients in Massachusetts, offering care tailored to adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults through individual therapy. Laura works closely with patients to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma while creating a safe and affirming space for each person’s unique journey. Laura is especially passionate about working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. She provides affirming care for those exploring gender identity, sexuality, and self-acceptance, while also supporting individuals navigating relational issues and the impact of societal stressors. Laura is deeply committed to fostering an environment where every patient feels seen, valued, and understood, ensuring that care is not only clinically effective but also empowering. Her therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices. By integrating these evidence-based interventions, Laura helps patients develop coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and build stronger connections between their thoughts, behaviors, and values. She also supports individuals managing medical conditions, sleep concerns, and the lasting effects of trauma. Laura has been practicing since 2019 and brings warmth, authenticity, and clinical expertise to her sessions. She values building strong therapeutic relationships as the foundation for meaningful progress. Outside of her clinical work, Laura enjoys reading, working out, drawing, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves taking countless photos of her two cats, who bring joy and lightheartedness into her daily life.
