David Barbosa, Psychologist

Dr. Barbosa provides a holistic, person centered approach when helping individuals achieve their goals by recognizing their potential and resiliency in overcoming life’s challenges. His warm and empathic interpersonal style has helped support individuals across the lifespan cope with anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and many other clinical presentations. Throughout his training, he has incorporated evidence-based approaches including mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, dialectical behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, family systems therapy, emotion focused therapy, and parent behavioral management training. Dr. Barbosa is also interested in sports psychology and the interplay between sports, human development, and mental health. Dr. Barbosa provides individual, couples, and family psychotherapy for those in need.
