James Barry, Psychologist
Dr. James R. Barry is a Psychologist in Maryland who has been practicing since 1990. He has a PhD in Psychology from Northeastern University, an MA in Counseling Psychology from Boston College, and a BS in Psychology from LeMoyne College. Dr. Barry’s objectives are to help a client feel comfortable, take their concerns seriously, help them to challenge negative emotions and beliefs, ask what changes they want/need to reduce anxiety and improve mood, develop plans for success, provide guidance and encouragement, and remind them of their strengths. His approach is goal oriented. Outside of work, Dr. Barry is a big bird lover and enjoys nature photography, being in the woods, or being on a mountain.
