Dr. Jennifer Hammes, PsyD, brings over a decade of expertise to her practice, helping individuals across Minnesota navigate complex mental health and learning challenges. Specializing in psychological, cognitive, and educational evaluations, Dr. Hammes works with children, adolescents, and adults starting at age six. Through her comprehensive evaluations, she helps clients uncover the underlying causes of learning, attentional, behavioral, and emotional difficulties, providing crucial insights that guide effective treatment plans. Whether addressing ADHD, school avoidance, or other learning disorders, Dr. Hammes’s approach ensures accurate diagnosis and personalized care. Dr. Hammes is particularly passionate about evaluating and treating ADHD and learning disorders. She understands the deep impact these issues can have on an individual’s academic and/or professional performance, self-esteem, and overall well-being. By conducting detailed psychological assessments, she identifies learning barriers and collaborates with families, educators, and medical professionals to recommend the most effective interventions. In addition to her work with learning disorders, she has a strong focus on supporting clients dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and childhood behavioral issues. Beyond her work with learning and mental health challenges, Dr. Hammes is experienced in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychological testing to guide treatment for various conditions, including bipolar disorder and PTSD. She works with both men and women and has specific experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
