Laura Richman, Psychologist
Laura Richman earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Long Island University C.W. Post in 1996. After graduating, Laura worked in the Counseling Center at the State University of New York at Purchase College with individuals with a variety of difficulties including depression, anxiety, eating disorders and stage of life concerns. She was in private practice in New York City for five years before moving to New Hampshire and joining the Counseling Center of Nashua which is now Lifestance Health. Laura believes that we all have adopted defenses to survive our childhoods that interfere with our functioning as healthy, happy adults. She specializes in overcoming the effects of having grown up in dysfunctional families, reducing anxiety and depressive symptoms and improving marital satisfaction. In her spare time Laura enjoys exercising, meditating and spending time with family and friends.
